The CMS international IP and Competition teams have contributed the chapter "Standards Setting, competition law and FRAND licensing" to the new book by Globe Law & Business, 'Intellectual Property in Electronics and Software', which will be published in July.
To mark the launch of this publication, we are pleased to invite you to a seminar where you will hear about the latest developments in this field from expert speakers.
Our event will feature:
- The latest EU regulatory viewpoint from Thomas Kramler, European Commission DG Comp - deputy head of unit responsible for cases in the information industries, internet and consumer electronics sectors.
- James Flynn QC, who will address the role of the Court in determining FRAND licence terms. James is a competition law specialist who has been involved in high profile disputes including IPCom -v- Nokia.
In addition, Dr Markus Deck of CMS Dusseldorf will discuss the latest developments in the Orange Book defence, including the reference to the CoJ in the Huawei -v- ZTE litigation. We will also compare the position in other countries.
All delegates will receive a 20% discount on book orders at our event.
Please join us for drinks and networking after the seminar.
All welcome. A fee of £25 + VAT applies to delegates not already on our database (other than ITechLaw members and students).
