Contract termination is a high-stakes issue that requires careful consideration. Making the wrong call can be an expensive mistake. There are numerous reasons a contract party may wish to terminate but not all of these may give rise to a corresponding right to do so, and where there is such a right, a properly thought out strategy is required to ensure a successful path to termination.
Our speakers for this session will discuss termination options, strategic considerations, putting strategy into action and current issues for contract drafters.
Joy Calder will look at identifying issues early, resolving problems through effective contract management and termination options.
Will Anderson will look putting strategy into action and how to implement a successful termination path; and
Graeme Bruce will discuss some current topical termination issues for contract drafters.
