Advocates for International Development (A4ID), in partnership with CMS and Bloomberg, are delighted to invite you to this important event aiming to build a greater awareness among the legal community on how the law, and the work of lawyers, can support the fight against climate change.  This will be an online event with a limited number of places available to join in person.

Our speakers from diverse backgrounds, including law, corporate, and development sector, will explore the diverse ways that all lawyers (corporate counsel and private practice) can contribute through their advisory capacity, involvement and expertise in structuring transactions, and ability to influence contract models, as well as through pro bono work. The speakers will also share success stories of legal contributions in the fight against climate change.

This event forms part of the SDG Legal Initiative which is a call to action to the global legal profession to work towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. In support of this cause a Legal Guide to SDG 13 will be launched at the event. This is part of a series of 17 Legal Guides to the SDGs. The Legal Guide to SDG 16 is already available to view.
