Education, Health and Social Care

Our dedicated team specialises in advising on all aspects of education, health and social care regulation.

In today’s increasingly complex and litigious landscape, safeguarding the integrity and accountability of professionals and organisations within the education, health, and social care sectors is more important than ever.

We act for a wide range of clients, including corporate entities, practitioners, membership bodies, and insurers. Our expertise spans large-scale investigations involving safeguarding concerns and whistle-blower allegations within hospitals, health and social care providers, educational institutions, and children’s homes. We have particular expertise in representing medical professionals and corporate providers in professional disciplinary proceedings, and inquiries or inquests into patient deaths.

Our services also encompass regulatory due diligence for acquisitions of private hospitals, care homes, specialist schools and colleges, and children’s care and fostering services across the UK. We provide comprehensive advice on corporate regulatory matters, from assistance with registration and compliance including in terms of structuring complex organisations (with deals in excess of £1 billion), to support during regulatory inspections, and robust challenges to adverse findings.

Our team is highly experienced in advising on regulatory actions, investigations, and hearings in all regions of the UK, before key bodies such as the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), General Optical Council (GOC), General Medical Council (GMC), Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Ofsted.

We are committed to staying at the forefront of policy and legislative developments across the education, health and social care sectors. Through regular updates and briefings, we keep our clients informed of significant changes and emerging trends, providing the insight needed to navigate complex regulatory frameworks with confidence.
