Sexual harassment in the workplace

Sexual harassment in the workplace is commonplace despite it being unlawful. Sexual harassment often goes unchallenged because of a fear of reprisal or that a complaint will not be taken seriously. Recognising the behaviours that can amount to sexual harassment, and knowing how you can act to address it – without fear of retaliation – is important. 

Who is it for? 

This course is aimed at all employees within an organisation and focuses on raising general awareness of what sexual harassment is and how each employee has a part to play; whether that is through modifying their own behaviour, supporting a colleague or understanding what to do if they experience or witness sexual harassment in the workplace.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:  

• Recognise the types of behaviour that can amount to sexual harassment in the workplace.
• Understand the repercussions of sexual harassment in the workplace.
• Be aware of your responsibilities and what to do if you experience or witness sexual harassment in the workplace.
