Minister consents to transfer of The Clarion to Newsquest Media Group Ltd

The Minister for Competition and Consumer Affairs, Dr Kim Howells, has given consent without requiring a report by the Competition Commission, under section 58(4) of the Fair Trading Act 1973, to the transfer to Newsquest Media Group Ltd of The Clarion, and related assets. He was satisfied that the paid-for circulation of this title was below 50,000 copies.
