OFT mails all VAT registered businesses about Competition Act

The Office of Fair Trading has teamed up with Customs and Excise to insert “Your Business and the Competition Act” - a leaflet published by the OFT setting out a brief overview of the new rules on competition - in each VAT return. These are being sent to all 1.6 million VAT registered businesses in Britain over the next 3 months. (OFT Press Release No 43/99)
