The weekly pay limit for calculating compensation for dismissals on or after 1 February 2005 has gone up £10 to £280. This applies to calculations for statutory redundancy pay or for the basic award in unfair dismissal claims. The limit on the compensatory award for unfair dismissal is now £56,800 (previously £55,000).
