Jenni Darling is a Senior Associate in the Employment department.

Jenni advises on all aspects of employment law and regularly represents clients, across the UK, in defending employment related claims, including unfair dismissal, whistle blowing and discrimination.

Jenni has previously spent time on secondment at large global institutions where she was involved in providing commercial and pragmatic advice to the relevant businesses on a wide range of matters including the legal risks associated with industrial action and redundancy, the risks of claims arising and the potential reputational risks associated with such claims.

Jenni builds strong client relationships and clients have said Jenni “provides excellent employment law advice, backed up by well thought through commercial strategies”.

Relevant experience

  • Defending a global charity in a high profile discrimination claim by a barrister against her Chambers and the charity.
  • A global financial institution in a whistleblowing case involving serious alleged regulatory breaches where the potential liability was in excess of £20m.
  • Defending a claim against a large financial institution for unfair dismissal arising from a misconduct dismissal after an employee failed to adhere to the client’s policy on making CHAPS payments.
  • A client in relation to a breach of contract case where settlement was achieved at £100,000 when the potential liability was in excess of £1m.
  • Project managing the workload created by the multiple holiday pay claims lodged against a global logistics company.
