Energy transition

1 min read

On this page

The energy transition can be viewed in a number of ways: as a transition from fossil fuels to renewables; as a transition from high carbon intensity to low carbon intensity; as a transition from a fragmented energy sector to one in which the various strands are unified. The main driver of the energy transition is to increase sustainability and decrease the negative climate change, and it should also provide energy security and access globally to facilitate economic development.

The Procurement Act 2023 repeals the current set of rules governing utilities procurement in the UK. • The Energy Act 2023

The Energy Act 2023 (the Act) received Royal Assent on 26 October 2023, and represents a significant step in the UK's efforts to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
