We cordially invite you to join our webinar on food waste regulation and recent developments, which will be presented by the CMS Consumer Products Sector Group members Esme Saynor from our UK practice and Amaury Le Bourdon from our French practice.
In this webinar, we will cover food waste regulation at EU level, followed by a spotlight focus on the UK and France at a national level.
We will be going into the detail on the European Green Deal and how that applies to food, and the newly proposed EU directive on food waste. We will also discuss the creation of national labels, clarification of the use of best before dates, the reporting of food waste initiatives, new food packaging and plastics regulations, and the prohibition of advertising encouraging waste disposal. The webinar will also cover new encouraged practices around the sale of unpackaged products, and measures to encourage bulk sales and glass deposits, not forgetting the obligation/incentives to donate unsold foodstuffs.
