Frankfurt/Main – MDAX-listed Dialog Semiconductor plc has acquired German semiconductor manufacturer Creative Chips GmbH from the previous shareholders. Closing of the transaction is scheduled for the end of October this year.
Creative Chips GmbH is based in Bingen am Rhein, Rhineland-Palatinate. It is a medium-sized semiconductor manufacturer focusing on customer-specific and application-specific semiconductor circuits/ICs. With operations at three sites worldwide, the company is regarded as a leading supplier of integrated circuits for the Industrial Internet of Things. The company has its own dedicated design centre in Dresden.
A CMS team headed by partners Dr Hendrik Hirsch and Dr Jörg Lips advised the sellers of Creative Chips GmbH on all legal aspects of the transaction.
Dialog Semiconductor has its operational headquarters in Reading, UK, and its administrative head office in Kirchheim unter Teck, Baden-Württemberg. It is a fabless semiconductor company that focuses primarily on the development of highly integrated mixed-signal products for consumer electronics. The company is listed on the MDAX and has a presence in 16 countries.
