Commercial litigation / fraud

  • Slater & Gordon LLP on a GBP 63m claim arising from its purchase of the former Quindell legal services business.
  • Worldwide litigation over the tracing and ownership of assets worth approximately USD 1.5bn.
  • ENRC in landmark proceedings brought by the Serious Fraud Office regarding legal professional privilege, and in claims against Dechert LLP.
  • Lead associate on an indemnity claim relating to gear-up landings of commercial passenger aircraft.
  • Lead associate on two judicial reviews related to the deployment of false evidence in support of applications for grants of planning permission.
  • Lead associate for a supplier to identify the perpetrators of and recover losses from a large invoice redirection fraud.
  • A commercial landlord in respect of substantial dilapidations to a luxury golf club and its Grade II listed manor house.
  • Lead associate on a claim to halt alleged unlawful building works, and uncovering a series of fabrications and false evidence generated to justify those works.
  • Superstrike Ltd v Rodrigues [2013] EWCA Civ 669, a controversial decision later reversed by the Deregulation Act 2015.
