Following the promotion of a new partner, CMS is pleased to announce the promotion of two supporting staff and 18 lawyers across all departments including Banking & Finance, Corporate/M&A, Dispute Resolution, Investment Funds and Tax.
I am proud to say that this is the strongest round of promotion since the creation of the firm in 2011 and would like to congratulate all the lawyers promoted. These promotions reflect our commitment to develop our internal talents and aim to increase the ability of our teams to deliver efficient and high-end services to clients across all practice areas.

Banking & Finance
Following the appointment of Aurélia Viémont as partner, the regulatory team has been further strengthened by the promotion of Mélanie Poirrier to Managing Associate. On the transactional side, Rossana Tsenova has been promoted to Managing Associate.
Corporate/M&A
Andreea Antonescu has been appointed Senior Counsel. She has more than 15 years’ experience advising private equity investors, real estate funds and international groups on all types including national and cross-border mergers, divisions and acquisitions. She plays a key role in our Corporate/M&A team and is recognized in IFLR as “highly knowledgeable and very nice to work with”.
The team has been further strengthened by the promotions of Johann Parmantier and Marie Dupuis to Senior Associate and the promotions of Cedric Dvoratchek and Adrien François to Managing Associate.
Dispute Resolution
Leslie Ledrich has been promoted to Managing Associate. She joined CMS in 2020 and is involved in all types of commercial, corporate, and civil litigation. She also advises both national and international clients on the full spectrum of employment issues.
Investment Funds
Walid Sharara has been appointed Senior Counsel. He has built a strong experience, both in Luxembourg and in the USA, advising domestic and international clients on the regulatory and legal aspects liaised to the structuring of Luxembourg investment funds.
Gilles Brospom has been promoted to Counsel. He specializes since more than 10 years in regulated and unregulated investment funds, mainly advising clients on the regulatory, corporate, and organisational aspects of the structuring, re-structuring and creation of investment funds and investment companies. Gilles is also actively involved in CMS’ German desk.
Julia Bruzzese has been promoted to Counsel. She has several years of experience, gained across multiple Luxembourg law firms, advising clients on all aspects of the structuring of Luxembourg Investment funds. She is recognised in Acritas “Independently rated lawyer” and in IFLR as “Reactive, nice, efficient and competent”
In addition to these promotions, the team was bolstered at every level with José Juan Ocaña, Aurélia Budzik and Harrison Dans being promoted to Senior Associate, Julie Pelcé to Managing Associate and Sergiu Mihailescu to Associate.
Tax
Alejandro Dominguez has been promoted to Counsel. Alejandro is specialized in Tax structuring has several years of experience working both as in-house legal and tax counsel and as lawyer in the Luxembourg tax team of an international law firm. He has published several articles in university and international tax publications, including the International Fiscal Association 2020 Luxembourg Branch report on exchange of information.
Ali Ganfoud has been promoted to Counsel. Ali has more than 10 years of experience in providing cross-border assistance on corporate tax issues to a broad range of clients including multinational corporations, private equity houses, investment funds, real estate companies and high-net-worth individuals. Ali is also visiting lecturer at the University of Lorraine.

Nicole Moujon has been promoted to Knowledge Manager and Marine Ullmann to Compliance Manager.
