Denitsa Dudevska is a Senior Associate in the Energy, Projects and Construction department at CMS in Sofia and Head of our Oil & Gas practice. Her expertise includes oil & gas, mining, renewables and underground resources, real estate, construction of energy projects. She has been a key lawyer in our oil & gas practice for a number of years and is advising major oil & gas corporates on their prospecting and exploration projects in Bulgaria, both onshore and offshore.

In addition, Denitsa has extensive experience in real estate matters, performing real estate legal due diligence exercises, drafting title transfer deeds and security documents, and negotiating and drafting lease agreements. She is also experienced in employment law.

Relevant experience

  • A consortium of large international oil & gas companies on their successful exploration activities for the “Han Asparuh” block offshore Bulgaria, which is the largest oil & gas exploration project ever developed in Bulgaria with estimated exploration costs exceeding EUR 500m.
  • Shell International Exploration and Development Italia on the Han Kubrat oil & gas exploration project located offshore Bulgaria in the Black Sea and on the exploration rights transfer related to this project.
  • Petroceltic on the preparation of all necessary documents and the application for the licensing of Galata gas storage facility - Bulgaria's second gas storage, including on the relevant legislative changes; and on all of the client’s concessions in Bulgaria: Galata, Kavarna, Kavarna East and Kaliakra.
  • SPM Bulgaria LLC on the issuance of a permit and entering into an agreement for prospecting and exploration of Block 1-25 Vratsa West, the biggest onshore block in Bulgaria tendered in the past few years.
