CMS supports Korean engineering company ONEJOON in its European market entry

Munich – ONEJOON Thermal Solutions GmbH has taken over the business of industrial furnaces specialist Eisenmann Thermal Solutions GmbH & Co. KG from insolvency administrator Joachim Exner. Eisenmann Thermal Solutions was part of the Eisenmann Group, which had filed for bankruptcy in August 2019. The Korean manufacturer specializing in furnaces for processing cathode and anode materials in the lithium-ion battery industry will retain both German sites at Böblingen and Bovenden as well as all of its 200 employees.

ONEJOON has used this opportunity to enter the European market with the help of a CMS team led by Richard Mitterhuber and Dr. Astrid Roesener supporting the Korean investor in all legal aspects of the transaction as well as post-merger integration.

ONEJOON is headquartered in South Korea. For several years, both companies have cooperated closely together and underlined the strategic importance of their collaboration by forming a Chinese joint venture in 2019 with the goal to bundle the comprehensive experience of ONEJOON as kiln builder in the field of Lithium Ion Battery and its materials and of Eisenmann Thermal solutions as a supplier of high temperature furnaces for various applications with a global setup to become the global market leader for kilns and process equipment for battery materials. The acquisition is, therefore, the logical continuation of this successful collaboration and will form a powerful and globally present supplier of thermal process equipment.
