This new addition to the Dossiers Pratiques collection of guides published by Editions Francis Lefebvre takes the mystery out of LBOs and describes the main methods used for these transactions.

While still in vogue, LBOs are difficult to set up.

When they are done well they can have a very positive impact on a business's development and valuation (for example, by facilitating the transfer of a medium-sized business to new owners, creating growth momentum or driving up margins through improved management). However, if they are done badly or are over-leveraged, they can constitute high-risk transactions with negative consequences for the business.
