Following our hugely successful in-person event last year, the CMS Employment Team are delighted to invite you to Spotlight on Sexual Harassment, taking place this March, April, and May at our London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen offices.

Failing to implement workplace systems to prevent sexual harassment can expose your organisation to legal, regulatory and reputational risk. Employers now have a legal duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment at work and the Government’s proposed Employment Rights Bill is expected to strengthen that duty, alongside other existing workplace protections against sexual harassment.

During this session, our employment law experts will offer practical guidance on designing and implementing prevention strategies to improve workplace cultures, complying with the duty to prevent sexual harassment and risk mitigation, taking account of recent case law decisions and anticipated developments.

We will share our views from practice on the new requirement to carry out a sexual harassment risk assessment. We will also look at how to conduct sensitive investigations into complaints of sexual harassment (balancing confidentiality and support) and minimising risks around harassment of staff by third-parties.

Whether you’re new to these requirements or refining an existing prevention strategy, this session will be of interest to HR, compliance and legal professionals alike.

There will be a networking session and refreshments at each event – the timing of this will vary by location.
