Ella Wisniewski is a senior associate in the London ICE Disputes team. She specialises in cross-border disputes arising in the energy, construction and infrastructure sectors. Ella has advised major energy companies, metals and mining companies, project owners, contractors and sponsors, sovereign wealth funds and state-owned entities. She is experienced in representing clients in international arbitration proceedings (both commercial and investor-state) and in alternative dispute resolution processes, including adjudication and mediation. In addition, Ella supports clients with dispute avoidance and claims management throughout the project life cycle.

Qualified in Western Australia, Ella practised in Perth, Berlin, and Singapore before relocating to London. Ella's broad multi-jurisdictional experience has leant her valuable insight into the resolution of disputes in both common law and civil law cultures. She delivers straightforward and pragmatic advice, understanding the importance of the commercial context in which legal issues arise. In 2022, Ella was recognised by Best Lawyers as One to Watch for International Arbitration. Alongside her practice, she regularly publishes and presents on contemporary issues in international investment law, with a focus on the role of investment treaties in supporting the global energy transition.
