Melissa is an Associate in the Tech, Media, & IP team at CMS, specialising in commercial contracts, data protection, consumer law, and intellectual property law.
In her role at CMS, Melissa works with clients across a variety of different sectors. She has advised large consumer-facing businesses, tech companies, small start-ups, public sector entities and universities, and financial services companies. Melissa is qualified in both Scots and English law and has experience advising clients in both jurisdictions.
Melissa returned to CMS in 2025, having trained and worked here previously, following some time working as Legal Counsel at Formula 1. Melissa therefore has first-hand experience advising a consumer-facing brand on a variety of commercial and legal issues.
