Covid-19 procedural deadlines for intellectual property law at the CJUE and General Court

Court

No automatic extension of deadlines based on statutory law before the General Court. As of March 19, 2020 deadlines set by registry, are being adapted to the context of the health crisis.

No automatic extension of deadlines based on statutory law before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), e.g. for initiating proceedings and filing appeals before. Deadlines set by the CJEU in ongoing proceedings which would otherwise end starting March 19, 2020 are extended for 1 month. This extension does not apply to proceedings that are particularly urgent.

The CJEU and the General Court had suspended hearings with effect from March 16, 2020, but hearings have resumed as of May 25, 2020.
