Covid-19 procedural deadlines for intellectual property law in Poland

As a general rule, procedural and judicial time limits in proceedings before the courts running or starting to run on 31 March 2020 are suspended for the duration of the state of epidemic.

Hearings before the courts will be adjourned until the end of duration of the state of epidemic, unless they are particularly urgent.

As a general rule, the time limits in proceedings before the PL PTO and the administrative courts running or starting on March 31, 2020 were suspended for the duration of the state of epidemic, unless they do not comply with conditions set out in the relevant law, i.e. the bill on special measures regarding COVID-19 spread.

The 3-month opposition periods in trade mark matters running or starting between  March 8, 2020 and June 30, 2020 will re-start on July 1, 2020 and run again from that date.
