Covid-19 procedural deadlines for intellectual property law in the Netherlands

All Courts were closed as of March 17, 2020 until at least April 6, 2020. Oral hearings were postponed (unless high urgency demands otherwise; IP matters are not per se considered urgent given the COVID-19 situation). No automatic extension of deadlines.

All deadlines before the IPO as of March 16, 2020 were suspended until the so-called “BAU-Date” (date on which normal work can be resumed) plus an additional 1 month. The BAU-Date will be determined by BOIP. No automatic extension of deadlines before the Patent Office.
