Kim specializes in insurance law, dispute resolution and commercial law. As head of the Belgian Coverage and Claims Insurance practice at CMS, Kim focuses on national and cross-border claims handling, advising on coverage and litigating coverage disputes and reviewing policy wording. Kim’s expertise covers a wide range of areas, including professional indemnity, commercial liability, construction all risks, property, bodily injury, D&O and financial lines in general. In addition, Kim has a wealth of experience in litigation with regards to insurance matters, tort law, commercial law, product liability and large industrial losses.
Kim was called to the Antwerp Bar in September 2017. She started her career at CMS, where she commenced developing her expertise in insurance law and dispute resolution. She then worked for almost 6 years at a Belgian independent law firm specialized in insurance law, before returning to CMS.
She holds a law degree (2013) from the University of Antwerp, and an additional Master in International Business Law (2014) from Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Kim is fluent in Dutch and English, and proficient in French.
Kim (re-)joined CMS in March 2025.
