Cologne – Atos Medical, a global leader in laryngectomy care, has acquired the Tracoe Group and UK-based Kapitex Healthcare. Tracoe includes TRACOE medical, a leading German company in the tracheostomy segment. Combining the companies will enable Atos Medical to expand its product portfolio and accelerate its growth in the tracheostomy segment. By at the same time acquiring the TRACOE medical subsidiaries in the Netherlands and Austria, Atos Medical is also strengthening its presence in those regions. The transaction is expected to complete in the coming weeks. Further details of the deal were not disclosed.
An international CMS team led by Klaus Jäger and Laura Christin Stein advised Atos Medical on all legal aspects of the complex transaction across a number of jurisdictions. The advice also covered an extensive auction process with a tight timescale in which Atos Medical emerged as the successful bidder.
