Location: CMS Cameron McKenna LLP, 160 Aldersgate Street, London EC1A 4DD
Given that there are so many facets of auto-enrolment, it is vital to keep it on the agenda between now and your staging date and to plan accordingly.
This seminar explores the current issues facing employers:
- Pension Law Requirements - how do you prepare for the introduction of AE? How do you identify eligible and entitled workers? What are the obligations on employers and pension scheme requirements and what safeguards need to be put in place for workers?
- Employment Law Implications - Who is an employer for the purposes of the new employer duties? What information will an employer be required to provide to staff? What amendments need to be made to an employer's policies and processes to deal with opt-outs, opt-ins, a transitional period, re-enrolment and on-going record keeping? What new protections will be introduced for workers and when will they become effective?
- Choosing an Appropriate Scheme - what pension design options should you be considering? What joining considerations and opt-out provisions should you have in place? What is the best delivery vehicle for your scheme?
- The Pensions Regulator - the employer duties, knowing when to act and what to do, the role of the pensions advisory community, what can you expect from The Pensions Regulator?
