Kyrre Tangen Andersen works both in CMS Kluge’s department for IP, Technology & EEA and in CMS Kluge's Energy, Industry & Climate Department. He is also active in CMS Kluge's Litigation and Public Procurement Department, and has a broad practice that involves assistance related to strategic IP management, development projects and litigation within all areas of IPR, with a special focus on technology and energy industries.
Andersen is an experienced litigator and has participated in several large cases both before the ordinary courts and before courts of arbitration, including disputes related to oil and gas contracts (with a very substantial amount in dispute), as well as patent and general IP infringements.
With respect to the area of intellectual property law, Andersen has a central IP-position at CMS Kluge’s Stavanger office, with a broad focus encompassing all types of intellectual property rights (IPR), and all aspects of IPR, from the start-up and establishment phases, contract negotiations, sales and acquisitions, and in connection with disputes. Whilst the assistance encompasses cases in all areas of ICT/IP law, Tangen Andersen has a special focus on copyright law, design rights, distinguishing marks, patent law and ICT law.
He also regularly works with the drafting and review of contracts and contract strategies in a broad variety of different areas of the law, for both public and private clients, based both on contract standards and other contract structures, including the drafting of new systems of contracts.
Andersen has also assisted a number of power companies with both legal opinions and disputes.
He regularly holds lectures on various legal subjects in various venues, especially with respect to the protection of intellectual property rights. Further, Andersen holds client-oriented courses on intellectual property rights. In addition, he has assignments as a lecturer at the University of Stavanger.
