Stuttgart – Private equity firm capiton has acquired a stake in Braunschweig-based Solvis, a developer and manufacturer of resource-saving and energy-efficient hybrid heating systems. Together, capiton and the sustainable heating pioneer aim to expand Solvis’s market share and to position the company as a leading player in the high-growth market for eco-friendly heating solutions. capiton is targeting substantial growth for the business, both organically and through acquisitions. The transaction is being financed by capiton’s capiton VI investment vehicle. The acquisition is currently awaiting approval from the competition authorities. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
