Footnotes and Notes

Operators based in the EEA are able to apply for a licence to provide online gambling services to customers in Lithuania (subject to establishing a local company or a local branch). The following games are authorised to be offered online: table games (roulette, card and dice games); slot machines; betting; totalisator; and bingo.

In recent years various amendments have been adopted to limit problem gambling, e.g. restrictions on advertising and promotion of gambling. Enforcement in Lithuania is strict and the regulatory authority is proactive. The authority also takes regular actions against unlicensed foreign operators by blocking access to their websites and taking other access-blocking measures.
