Fun fact
Even if expats keep their original employment contract, they are subject, when starting work in France, to certain provisions of the French Labour Code.
Every employer posting an employee in France for the provision of services must make a specific declaration and has to have a representative present on French soil for the duration of the posting.
All expats are subject to the collective agreements applicable to other employees of companies in the same activity sector and established in France.
