Oleksandra Prysiazhniuk is a senior associate specialised in corporate/M&A. Her areas of specialisation include employment and energy & natural resources. She has considerable experience in advising clients on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, greenfield investments, restructurings and employment matters with an industry focus on agriculture, energy, financial services, pharmaceuticals, commodity trading, tourism and hospitality and other sectors.

Before joining CMS, Oleksandra Prysiazhniuk worked at renowned international and Ukrainian law firms for more than ten years. She holds master’s degrees from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (International Law) and the Central European University (Environmental Policy) and graduated from both programmes with merit.

Relevant experience

  • Advising a major US oil and gas company in a shale gas extraction project in Ukraine on corporate matters, industry regulatory matters, supply chain contracts, employment, personal data compliance and compliance with anti-corruption law provisions.
  • Advising a leading merchant and processor of agricultural goods on the establishment of a joint venture for the construction of a grain terminal in Odessa Sea Port.
  • Advising an international insurance group on the purchase of a stake in a life insurance company in Ukraine.
  • Advising a major European IT provider in the global travel and tourism industry on business restructuring in Ukraine.
  • Advising a leading Ukrainian pharmaceutical company on attracting EBRD equity financing.
  • Advising a multinational commodity trading company on its acquisition of an oil extraction plant.
  • Advising multiple agricultural holdings in Ukraine on attracting investments and business structuring issues.
