Manuel Cassiano Neves is a Partner in the Energy & Climate Change team.

With over 15 years’ experience, he advises clients in energy and environment matters, with a special focus on the natural gas and electricity sectors, namely in regulatory issues, execution of public service concession contracts and energy supply.

Manuel has regularly assisted relevant players in the value chain of the electricity and natural gas sectors, from energy producers, utility concessionaires, to large consumers in a wide variety of public law matters and in the energy sub-sector. He has also been involved in materially relevant transactions in these markets, such as the purchase of shares of public utility concessionaires, execution of solar and wind projects, electric mobility, among others.

Manuel is acknowledged as Up & Coming by Chambers Europe, 2023 and has been ranked for the past 6 years and is ranked Next Generation Partner for Energy & Natural Resources by Legal 500, 2023. Moreover, he is recognised for Energy Law and Public Law, by Best Lawyers, 2022.
