Manuel Cassiano Neves is a Partner in the Energy & Climate Change team and is part of the ESG Task Force.

With over 15 years of experience, he advises clients in energy and environment matters, with a special focus on the natural gas and electricity sectors, namely in regulatory issues, execution of public service concession contracts, and energy supply.

Manuel has regularly assisted relevant players in the value chain of the electricity and natural gas sectors, from energy producers, and utility concessionaires, to large consumers in a wide variety of public law matters and the energy sub-sector. He has also been involved in materially relevant transactions in these markets, such as the purchase of shares of public utility concessionaires, execution of solar and wind projects, and electric mobility, among others.

Manuel is acknowledged as Band 4 by Chambers Europe, 2025, and is ranked Next Generation Partner for Energy & Natural Resources by Legal 500, 2025. He is also acknowledged Next Generation Partner of the Year, for Energy and Natural Resources, by Legal 500 Iberia Awards and as Leading for Energy Law by Leaders League, 2026. Moreover, he is recognised for Energy Law, Natural Resources Law and Natural Resources Law by Best Lawyers for the past years.
