Developing New Cooperation and Business Opportunities between Paris and Moscow

In the context of the project "Moscow International Financial Center" launched by President Medvedev, Paris EUROPLACE, the organization in charge to promote the Paris financial center, and the City of Moscow will organize the 1st French-Russian financial forum to discuss business opportunities and cooperation between the Paris and Moscow financial marketplaces.

Among the speakers, the forum will be attended by Mr Arnaud DE BRESSON, CEO, Paris EUROPLACE, Mr Ronald KENT, Executive Vice President, NYSE Euronext, Mr Jean LEMIERRE, Senior Advisor to the Chairman, BNP Paribas, Mr Jacques DER MEGREDETCHIAN, Chief Business Officer, Troïka Dialog, Mr Iouri ROSLYAK* Deputy Mayor, City of Moscow, Mr. Dmitry TIMOFEEV, CEO, NAUFOR; Mr Bernardo SANCHEZ INCERA, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Société Générale, Mr Jean-Pierre THOMAS, Partner, Lazard Frères.

This 1st French-Russian Financial Forum will be opened by Mrs. Christine LAGARDE, Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment (to be confirmed).

The plenary session will address the issue of the contribution of finance to the modernization of the economy and the possible areas of cooperation in this matter between our respective financial centers.

Several parallel sessions will then focus on business opportunities among them:

• New investment opportunities on Euromarkets,
• Investing on equity markets,
• Market organization and financial regulation
• Project financing and PPP for infrastructures
• Developing long term savings

Those different topics will be presented with the support of international banks and financial companies as well as representatives of market authorities.

The 1st French-Russian Financial Forum will be an important occasion for the representatives of both Russian and French financial centers to participate to meaningful debates before the French presidency of G20 in 2011.
