Programm
11 Jun 2026
On the evening before the 3rd Conference on Economic Security and Market Regulation, we invite participants and interested guests to an open-to-all pre-conference reception dedicated to the reform of the EU FDI Screening Regulation.
Background
The existing FDI Screening Regulation is going to be replaced. The new regulation will require all EU Member States to have implement a common minimum standard in their investment screening regimes. This will in particular entail an expansion of security-relevant sectors, alongside corresponding notification and approval requirements for M&A transactions. In addition, procedural adjustments are envisaged that will have a direct impact on the scope of transactions caught and on deal timelines.
The event will provide a timely update on the new framework, its implications for investors and Member States, and its role in the EU’s broader economic security agenda.
Who should attend - M&A professionals and investors
The event is aimed at and all other market participants active in cross-border M&A, including investors, banks, in-house counsel, investment managers, private equity firms, and corporate M&A professionals.
Join us for an informed expert exchange on the future of EU investment screening and its practical impact on cross-border transactions.
