Online Seminar

Past event
24 September 2020, 11:00 - 12:00 UTC +02:00

Sustainable investing is no longer a niche area - it is going mainstream and especially the issuance of green bonds has grown at a rapid pace in recent years, and this trend is showing no signs of slowing. "Sustainability Linked Loans", where the financing costs are linked to the sustainability performance and positive environmental, social and governance (ESG) characteristics of the borrower, continue to dominate the German finance market in 2020.

We will give insight into the different approaches to sustainability linked loans, green bonds and ESG rating. The focus will be on the level of standardisation as well as market trends. Howard Sherman, a member of the MSCI ESG Research product management team and responsible for the firm's corporate governance offerings, will give insights into the different approaches to ESG investing, the MSCI Ratings Methodology and recent market trends.
