Alexandra Otto advises German and international companies on all aspects of employment law, with a focus on the strategic preparation and implementation of restructuring measures, the handling of transfers of undertakings in the context of group reorganisations and transactions as well as providing advice on post-merger integration. Her practice covers all related legal aspects, particularly negotiations with work councils and trade unions on reconciliation of interests and social plan agreements, collective agreements as well as transition and restructuring agreements.
Alexandra also specialises on providing strategic advice on corporate co-determination matters and the foundation of European Companies (SE-Societas Europaea). This includes managing international employee participation procedures and negotiating participation agreements. She is Co-Head of the firm's cluster of excellence “Corporate co-determination & SE”.
Alexandra joined CMS in 2008 and has been a partner since 2021.
